2009 Azienda Agricola Cos Frappato. Sicily 12%

Frappato is the grape variety here. Bright, sour cherries. Lifted aromas. Strawberries and Strawberry leaf. Grating of cinnamon spice. Juicy and fresh. Light, but very mouth filling. Has a certain earthy backnote. Lively acidity. Some orange zest as well. Intriguing,

More structured, balanced and poised than the Feudo Arancio I tried at the Wine Century meeting recently. Juicy with good acid that makes me reach for a 2nd glass… and a 3rd…… Mid to full bodied wine. Very clean with

This white wine is 100% Carricante grape that is indigenous to Sicily Had this with flash fried cuttlefish and it’s a good match. The 2010 is not as developed, golden or honeysuckled as the ’08 I enjoyed earlier in the
