2010 Niepoort Fabelhaft. Douro. Portugal. 13%

Approx $9 for a half bottle, found in a wine shop in Vienna and tried this late December in Vienna. Quality wine in half bottles seemed relatively easy to find in Vienna. Love the red wines of Dirk Niepoort from

2008 Herdade Do Esporao Reserva. Alentej, Portugal. 14.5%

Blend of Aragonez, Cabernet Sauvignon and Trincaderia Milky, chocolatly, soupy, gloopy. It just sits on your palate, no transition. Some sour cherries in there trying to give this some interest. No structure. Another disappointment with these reds from Portugal. Beginning
