Been meaning to try and drink more Pinot’s to understand what all the Pinotphiles are rabbiting on about. Must confess I don’t drink much Pinot, not never really “got” its allure. This comes highly recommended and has a strong reputation.

Found a rustic traditional Austrian place for dinner, located fairly centrally in Vienna. Ordered the Wild boar. Very tasty. Enjoying the sweet red cabbage that comes with most meals. Had 2 interesting wines. 2009 Schloss Halbturn Koenigsegg Zweigelt Reserve. Burgenland.

Made by De Bortoli Wines. Warmer weather coming up over the next few days turned my thoughts to rosé last night. Very pale pink. Nose and palate reminds me of eating steamed dumplings in Asia. Spiced grapefruit / Pomelo fruit,
