2010 Sauvion Dilection Chinon. 12.5%

100% Cabernet Franc Nice refreshing red wine. Mid weight. Interesting to see a Cabernet Franc stand alone, instead of being in a blend like it usually is. Bright cherries, minty oil and lifted oregano. Raspberry laced crunchy meringue. Nice backbone.

2011 Sauvion Chemin des Roses. Appellation Cabernet D’Anjou, France. 11.5%

A Rosé made from 100% Cabernet Franc. Some residual sweetness. More medium dry. Raspberry and strawberry juice. A very round, soft palate with minimal acid. Grating of young ginger. Rose petal perfume. Reminds me of Turkish Delight with orange peel
