2013 Flor Marché Elise Cabernet Sauvignon. Wilyabrup, Margaret River

Full, mouth coating, generous palate of sweet blackcurrants, plum skins, a lick of black olives and a sprinkling of ground coffee. Bay leaf and tart mouth-watering cranberry on the mid palate. Has both elements of chocolate, milky on the palate and moreish dark / bitter chocolate on the long satisfying finish, along with a hint of sour cherry. Complex notes of smokey, sweet caramelised onions that add interest. Very fine tannins.

Flor Marché Elise Cabernet Sauvignon

This excellent example of Margaret River cabernet has a lot of flavour packed into the bottle. Yes please!

This exciting new and upcoming winery are really kicking some goals and I reckon most of their wines are worth seeking out and trying. I covered their Pinot Noir last year and loved it. Since then, I have also tried their excellent Riesling, Chardonnay and Shiraz.

Tasted 2nd April 2015.

Source : Sample from Flor Marché wines. RRP $39.95 at Old Bridge Cellars. Flor Marché wines are also stocked at La Vigna, Steves, The Re Store in Leederville and Young George.

This tasting note was originally published online on the Ozeating website on 10th August 2015.
