Fragrant nose of cherries, cinnamon, ginger and cloves. Reminiscent of Christmas at home… eating cherries and smelling the children’s just constructed ginger bread houses.

Aromas flow through onto the palate nicely. Juicy cherries and cranberries, along with hints of porcini mushrooms and a touch of soy umami. Fine, moderate tannins. Hint of Angostura bitters on the back palate. Moderate length. Bright acids. Alcohol is integrated well. Touch of Pinotesque forest floor funk that adds interest. Juicy, bright, cuddly happy wine. Can you tell I’m a fan?

Would go perfectly with BBQ lamb chops, marinated in soy and rosemary.
