2014 Luna Rosa Rosado. Central Ranges, NSW. 12%

This wine sits in the portfolio of Cumulus Estate wines and is a blend of Merlot, Shiraz and Mourvèdre. It has 12 g/L of residual sugar in it.

Luna Rosa Rosado 1

Aroma of strawberries and cream with a rhubarb tang.

Juicy, giving palate of ripe red berries. Raspberries, strawberries, cherries along with a savoury balance of rhubarb. Hint of residual sweetness with minimal acid detected on the palate. Finishes nice and juicy with the fruit lingering nicely on the palate.

A drink now style wine that is entirely smashable with some spicy influenced dishes. Bali Ayam Bakar or Thai duck red curry anyone? Or if it’s stinking hot outside, grab an ice cold glass of this, head poolside and sip away.

I think this offers sensational value at a retail price of $15. Restaurants and cafés, take note, this could offer good value without hurting your customer’s pockets.
