A blend of 60% Semillon 25% Sauvignon 15% Muscadelle. Spent 12 months in oak barrels, after fermentation. The Côtes de Duras region is located in the South West of France.
Light Apricot in colour.
Aromas of white flowers, apricots and peaches that follow through on the palate, along with hints of wet pebble, white pepper, vanilla bean & toasted almonds.
A moderately oily / fat palate that faded to the background once we were nibbling on our appetiser of pork sausages.
A pretty good wine that must be served with food as it’s a fraction warm on the palate without.
