2012 Clos des Lunes “Lune d’Argent” Grand Vin Blanc Sec. Bordeaux. 13.5%

This blend of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc is brought to you by the team behind well known Bordeaux estate, Domaine de Chevalier. 25% spent 6-7 months in oak and the rest in stainless steel tanks on lees.

Clos des Lunes “Lune d’Argent”

Clear, pale lemon in colour

On the nose, flinty minerals along with a creamy note is evident. Fairly shy at first but showed more as it warmed up in the glass, revealing pear skins and citrus notes.

Lemon zest, cumquats & quince can be tasted, along with wet pebble like minerals and pear and ginger notes.

Beautiful long finish to this wine, with good levels of acid to keep this nice and juicy.

On day 2, granny smith apples and pineapple notes emerge.

A very good wine.
