2012 Apostelhoeve Pinot Gris. Louwberg Maastricht. Nederland.

Before leaving Perth, a quick google search told me that wine wasn’t made in Holland. Was happy to discover they do make wine in Maastricht, in the southern tip of Holland, near the German border.

Apostelhoeve Pinot Gris
Honeysuckle, honeydew, with hints of aniseed and ginger.

Full, rounded and slippery on the palate.

Lacking a bit in acid. A drinkable wine.

Tried their Riesling a few days later and that was superb. Didn’t take any notes on that.

Approx euro $16
