2011 Chateau Simone Rosé. Appellation Palette. 14%

A Rosé wine for winter? Yes! This is the ideal candidate.

Chateau Simone Rosé

An intensely flavoured, well rounded wine that is full flavoured and penetrates every corner of your palate. Pomegranate, rosehip. Leesy flavours of cashew, fresh Lychee and Longan. Savoury elements of sushi ginger and a sprinkling of fresh herbs. Crisp finish.

The importer mentioned the tannin profile of this wine. Yep, tannins in a rose as well to lend a wonderful structure to this wine. Bravo.

Yes it is expensive, but I highly recommend it.

$85 at Steves Fine Wine and Food

Tasted 18th August 2013
