Barrel fermented, matured on lees and spent 5 months in French oak.
Bitter almonds, grapefruit pith and candied lemon peel. Tastes quite bitter and sour. Some melon on the back palate. The oak helps add a layer of sweetness.
This wine has developing rapidly from when I bought it late last year. Quite a hot aftertaste. Glad I’m down to my last bottle.
