100% Barbera grape.
Juicy, gluggable wine. Sour cherries, balsamic reduction, woody herbs. Nice dusty tannins. Has ample acidity to go well with most rustic Italian dishes. Mid weight. Bit of roast pan juices tip this more towards the savoury spectrum. Slight earthy, boot polish like aromas.
Finishes crisp, clean and leaving you wanting more. Good Barbera at this price? Bargain! Can’t remember ever having a good Barbera at this price point. Beautiful, fresh acidity.
Where’s the wood fire roasted capretto?
