Barokes Bin 241 Chardonnay Semillon. South East Australia. 13%

Barokes Bin 241

Wine in a 250ml can? Thought it would be an interesting experiment. Found this in a Singapore supermarket for about $5. No vintage or use by date on the can. Found a batch number on the bottom. Maybe this is how you tell how old the wine actually is.

To be honest, the wine snob in me was expecting this to be terrible. Intending to have a sip, bag it and put the rest down the sink.

To my surprise, this turned out to be a perfectly serviceable, refreshing wine. Light taste of apples, almonds and hints of lemon. Moderate length and good for what it is. Live and learn.

Yes, I would buy this again when I’m next in Singapore if I was looking for something cheap and refreshing.
