2003 Lindemans Limestone Ridge Vineyard. Coonawarra, 13.5%

Lindemans Limestone Ridge

Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon Blend.

Have not seen these nor tried them for quite a few years. Cut my “red wine drinking teeth” on this and the other Coonawarra trio’s from Lindemans when I was just getting into red wine. Like welcoming back an old friend not seen for a few years. Wine is like that. Can transport you back to another time, before marriage and 3 children.

Fully resolved and ready to drink now. Perhaps looking a touch tired?

Leathery dark fruits, backed with menthol, mint and cedar. Hints of nutmeg and coffee as well. Far less oak than I remember and finishes a touch short.

If you have any lurking in the cellar, it’s time to drink up!

Enjoyed this trip down memory lane on cold night.
