Juicy blackcurrants, flecks of dark chocolates and eucalypt. Some porcini mushrooms and truffled character. Sour cherries and woody herbs.
Finishes aperitif style, bitter sweet. Cigar box aromas as well.
Has good concentration of flavour and persistence. Good acid and tannin profile suggest this could age well. Has a slight Pinot Noir like vibe.
Some wines seem to have good soulful energy that hums in your mouth. This is one such wine.
Not sure of the wine making techniques of this wine or if they deployed the “egg”. Will update when I hear back from the winery.
Bravo! Another highly recommended wine from Si Vintners.
Was multitasking last night, tasting wine and inflating soccer balls ahead of the UWANFC Joey Soccer season opener this weekend. Shiny gear new gear from club sponsor Veto Sports. Looking forward to coaching my group of screaming girls!
