An intense wine.
This is Margaret River classic white with the volume turned up on the flavour front. It’s got the passion fruit, cut grass, minerals flavours all very evident. Throw in struck flint, preserved lemons, star fruit and ginger to complete the profile. Piercing acidity on the finish leaves the palate wanting more. Lingering leesy, creamy, mineral salty bite.
A well made wine and I can appreciate the winemakers efforts put into this wine. Just not my style of wine. If you think the sound of an amped up Margaret River classic dry is appealing, then hop on board and give this try.
Personally, I much preferred the Marq Vermentino tried at the first gathering of our Wine Century challenge.
