Blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Semillon
Creamed toasted almonds. Crunchy apple, baked with a touch of clove and cinnamon.
Flinty, grapefruit minerals. Touch of passionfruit……. but not too much to put me off.
Spiced pineapple tarte tartin. Very broad in the mouth.
Good, solid wine but lacks sufficient linear acidity to make this a great wine.
$35 at Vintage Cellars, Shenton Park.
Noticed they had the 2009 for $50. Strange, given that 2010 was supposed to be a better year. Bordeaux does have a strange approach to pricing.
