2009 Atticus “La Croyance” barrel aged sauvignon blanc semillon. Margaret River. 12.7%

Soft, subtle wine.

Very delicate grapefruit, fennel seeds, big mineral finish.

Somewhat flat and lacking in a crisp, clean finish.

Disappointing, bitter finish.

From memory, approx $40 from Steve’s.

Take 2

Just read Halliday’s review of this wine.

Sounds nothing like what I tried.

Perhaps I had a dud bottle? Didn’t notice any thing wrong with the screwcap.

Have grabbed another bottle to try again soon, as Halliday’s description sounds really good.

Suspect some bottle variation issues.

Tasted 20th January 2013
