Boheme Restaurant in Vienna

IMG_1230

Found a rustic traditional Austrian place for dinner, located fairly centrally in Vienna.

Ordered the Wild boar. Very tasty. Enjoying the sweet red cabbage that comes with most meals.

Had 2 interesting wines.

2009 Schloss Halbturn Koenigsegg Zweigelt Reserve. Burgenland. Austria.13%

Zweigelt seems to be a local red variety.

Very soft. Kiss of oak. Smooth. Slightly spiced.

2006 Gesellmann Pinot Noir Siglos. 13.5% Burgenland. Austria.

Spicy , layered, very complex. Huge length.

One of the best pinots I have ever had.

Others in the group loved this as well
