2007 David Franz “Alternative View Pirate Strength” Shiraz. Barossa 15.3%

Big Barossa Shiraz.

This took forever to open up in the glass.

After lots of coaxing, this started to open a bit & started to reveal what it’s all about.

Heady aromas of spiced, cinnamon baked plums.

Christmas cake and pudding. Spice theme carries on with cloves, black pepper and star anise.

A very young wine that is pregnant with promise.

Will be perfect with Christmas dinner in 2017.

$85 directly from the winery. www.david-franz.com

Tasted 15th December 2012
