2008 Domaine du Collier. Saumar Blanc. Loire Valley, France. 13%

A 100% Chenin Blanc from the Saumar Appellation in the Loire Valley.

1st sip is like biting into a crisp granny smith apple.

Gives way to beautiful honeysuckle that finishes with juicy acidity.

Some lime overtones.

Has a leesy, creamy, nutty quality.

This is definitely a “food wine”.

Very good, complex wine.

Approx $60 directly from the importer, Andrew Guard.

Tasted 28th November 2012
