Dinner with more Beef Cheeks

Cooked some more beef cheeks for some friends when they came over for dinner in November 2012.

This is what we had to drink, dinner party, so no formal notes taken, just a quick impression.

Tried taking a photo of the food…. but could not figure out how to make it look appetising. Tasted good but.

2005 St Hallet Old Block Shiraz. Barossa. 14.5%
Fantastic stuff! Milky chocolate, deep dark fruits. A wine that is in its “hitting zone”. Mr R, thank you for bringing this.

2007 Frattoria Le Fonti, Chianti Classico Riserva. 14.5%
Has a touch of Merlot in with the Sangiovese. Didn’t know you could label it a chianti classico if there was Merlot in it. Learn something new each day.
Just a wonderfully balanced, poised wine. Perfect food / wine match.
