2009 Blue Poles Teroldego. Margaret River.

Brought this along to dinner at Lo Zucchero Dalkeith, a rustic Italian family styled restaurant.

Ordered the Tripe cooked in the traditional Roman style that was on the specials board. Excellent dish that went so well with this wine.

Teroldego is a native red grape from Northern Italy. Apparently there are only a handful of wineries that make this in Australia.

No notes taken, but remember the wine being rich and ripe with enough structure to take on the richness of the braised tripe in tomato sauce.

A happy food / wine moment.

Approx $30 from Blue Poles newsletter.

Tasted 16th November 2012
