2008 Herdade Do Esporao Reserva. Alentej, Portugal. 14.5%

Blend of Aragonez, Cabernet Sauvignon and Trincaderia

Milky, chocolatly, soupy, gloopy.

It just sits on your palate, no transition.

Some sour cherries in there trying to give this some interest.

No structure. Another disappointment with these reds from Portugal.

Beginning to wonder if these were transported properly to Australia.

No evidence of heat damage on the cork.

Approx $60 at The Wine Store in East Fremantle.

Tasted 8th November 2012
