2006 David Franz Red Rosé. Barossa. 12.2%

Has Shiraz, Fronti, Grenache, Riesling, Mataro & some other grapes in it. Basket pressed, cold ferment and a month spent on lees.

Yes, a lot of effort has gone into making this Rosé and it shows in the glass.

A joy to drink. A 2006 Rosé that is drinking well, you ask? Yep! This was bought a few months ago as a cellar release. Love the packaging on this.

Incredible wine! Remarkable at 6 years old. Almost getting into a Pinot Noir spectrum of colour and mouthfeel.

This is a dry Rosé, with a hint of raspberry sweetness.

Complex with excellent length…. made me say to myself, drink this and stop analysing it, so I did!

Approx $28 directly from the winery. http://www.david-franz.com
